Videography by Media Concepts

Professional Digital Equipment

Sony Z1 Camcorder Cameras, etc.
Media Concepts uses two Sony Z1 3-chip professional HiDef camcorders on a Sachtler tripods. These cameras have exceptional low light performance and record in 1080i. For audio we use a Lectrosonics wireless lavalier microphone on the groom and officiant to clearly record the vows, a Sony wireless microphone on the lectern and a Sennheiser "shotgun" microphone on the camera.

Editing
Studio We edit the digital HDV tapes on a Macintosh G5 dual processor computer using Final Cut Pro 5.1 and Adobe After Effects professional editing software. We edit every wedding with an unlimited amount of time and care so that your wedding video will be the best you've ever seen. Each edited wedding video contains all the best moments of your special day using various transitions and slow motion effects. Please note that we only use transitions and effects to enhance your video, we don't just throw them in because they look cool or because our computer has hundreds of effects. In other words - NO CHEESY EFFECTS!

DVD
Copies of your edited wedding video are presented to you on a DVD - each in a custom case. Your DVD will have custom interactive menus and chapters allowing you to find a particular scene very quickly, and DVDs will last for generations - far longer than videotape. Every wedding DVD we produce has a beautiful animated title screen and a chapter menu to let you quickly navigate to any part of your wedding video. Of course VHS tapes are available instead at no extra charge.

About HiDef Delivery
Today, most people do not have a high definition DVD player at home. We shoot and edit your wedding in 1080i HiDef but (for now) give you a standard definition DVD. If you watch your DVD on a regular 4x3 television your video will have the "letterbox" format picture. If you watch your wedding on a 16x9 television the picture will be full screen with no stretching. Later, when you purchase a HiDef DVD player we will re-author your wedding on a Blu-ray DVD (for a nominal fee).
